# xarray.DataTree.identical

#### DataTree.identical(other)[[source]](https://github.com/pydata/xarray/blob/main/xarray/core/datatree.py#L1603-L1632)

Like equals, but also checks attributes on all datasets, variables and
coordinates, and requires that any inherited coordinates at the tree
root are also inherited on the other tree.

* **Parameters:**
  **other** ([`DataTree`](xarray.DataTree.html.md#xarray.DataTree)) – The other tree object to compare to.
